'10 Minutes' by Ahmed Imamovic - Best European Short Film 2002

Two stories happening simultaneously: to one man, ten minutes of his life passes by without merit; to another, a child, these ten minutes will change his life tragically and forever. Set to contrast between a pleasant Rome and a war-torn Sarajevo in 1994, the film is an indictment of a passive and impotent Europe that did nothing to stop genocide on its own continent. Still, the Europeans continue to recognize great art, the tragedy of hindsight notwithstanding.
